Alabama Statehouse Loses Power
At about 11:05 a.m. the statehouse lost power after floodwaters filled the basement of the building.
Cars parked in the lower deck of the statehouse parking area off of Washington Avenue were almost completely submerged.
The power loss took place while both the House and the Senate were in session.
