Senators recognize Folsom's 60th birthday

Sen. Vivian Davis Figures, D-Mobile, sang to Lt. Gov. Jim Folsom in the Senate chamber on Thursday to recognize his 60th birthday.

Other senators applauded Folsom, who has also served the state as governor and public service commissioner, on his birthday.

He is also the son of former Gov. James E. "Big Jim" Folsom Sr.

The Democrat is running for reelection as lieutenant governor in 2010.
