Candidate lines up Women for Artur Davis 2010


U.S. Rep. Artur Davis announced more than 30 women in the state on Monday who have agreed to serve on the Women for Artur Davis 2010 Committee as he continues to ramp up his run for governor. The Birmingham Democrat has announced he is running for governor in 2010.
The women on the committee are from throughout the state, but 19 are from Birmingham. There are three each from Montgomery and Huntsville and one from Mobile.
“I am asking them to be a sounding board on a wide range of issues; this committee will be a pivotal part of my campaign to reform the way Montgomery operates,” Davis said in a statement.
