Chapman running for reelection

Republican Secretary of State Beth Chapman has announced she is running for reelection in 2010.
She previously had mentioned the possibility of running for lieutenant governor.
Democratic Lt. Gov. Jim Folsom Jr., announced last week he was running for reelection and not running for governor.
Chapman was elected secretary of state in 2006 after serving a four-year term as auditor.
As the state's chief election official, she has served as secretary during record voter turnout, and has targeted voter fraud.
Chapman has also been a strong proponent of finding better ways for those in the military to vote electronically.
