Expecting a special session

During a meeting of the legislative contract review committee on Wednesday, state Rep. Alvin Holmes asked Sen. Del Marsh when the governor was going to call a special session.
"I hope he will call it at 6 p.m. Monday," said Marsh, a Republican from Anniston who is a close ally of the governor.
He said he talked with Senate Minority Leader Jabo Waggoner, R-Birmingham, who told him the delegation in Jefferson County had reached an agreement on how to address the county's current financial mess.
"I hope we go five days and get out of here," Marsh said.
