Feel Good Legislation Breaks Senate Logjam -- Briefly.

A bill that creates a statewide interagency council on autism halted a Senate logjam long enough to get passed.

Sponsored by state Rep. Cam Ward, R-Alabaster, the bill creates a council that will be responsible for developing a system of care for children in the state with autism.

Autism advocates rallied at the state house today in support of the bill, and another bill that would establish regional autism centers to provide support for children with autism and their parents.
